old dog new tricks
Ideas for cover of bulletin for next year. In the past it has been just one color, on shade of one color in fact on white. Looked kind of 50's. I used some backgrounds from the yearbook program and then added text and pictures. The one with the most color has a photo I took of the road into the campus on the right side of the layout. WHat do you think? The white lines in the blue one have been excised!!!

i like the middle one with all the color =). but a very close second is the top one. the shapes are pretty cool.
the bottom one still looks kinda old...too traditional i guess to look exciting. the top one would be my favorite but something about the eagle's position isn't quite right...maybe it is because there is no flare of sun around him or something like that.
yeah the bottom one is kinda old fashioned. but i needed a design that didn't use too much color. kind of hard to be up to date with just one color. i like the middle one too. BUT it looks like they will probably just use a free cover from the date book place. the idea was to have the papge with the events already on them... you know like print each week out from calendar creator. well that costs money so they are just going with the preprinted pages. the only advantage that i see in getting them printed is that we can include a list of events and the handbook...which costs some money. better than what we had last year, but far from perfect.
at least it is improving... too bad that they are sticking with run of the mill stuff though. i think the top one could have been modified to one color possibly.
